We're slowly but surely starting to put our living space together in the Farmhouse. As ever, hour upon hour has been spent on Pinterest, scouring the web for design inspiration like the interiors voyeur that I am. And yet I haven't really had any great aesthetic plan in mind. We're limited by our budget (pennies we found in the sofa), and the fact we already have a LOT of furniture/textiles/ceramics/paintings to find space for.
If I had the chance to create my dream space, it would probably be some sort of hippy/bohemian love-pad like this....
...so it's something of a surprise to find myself creating some sort of paean to mid-century modernism in my living room. It's the same furniture and textiles we had in our old house, and yet just by placing them in a new space we've managed to create something completely different. We've opted for a subtle grey on the walls, with pops of colour through-out (and y'all know how much I love colour).
Here are some of my favourite interiors images from the wonder that is Pinterest (and yes, perhaps the modernist inspiration is obvious after all!)
If we ever finish it, hopefully I'll be able to show you photos of our living space soon!
