... for I've got a bit of a headache. Yes readers, I ventured out of the house, IN THE EVENING, for a friend's birthday and as such ... no loud noises please. It's odd how something that was once so normal (I went out a lot), is now such an event. How every glass of wine that comes after the point at which you know you really should stop, feels like such bad behaviour. And how when you wake up the next morning with a fuzzy head, you pay for it in ways you would never have thought possible. And how, where before you would just wallow on the sofa all day, surfacing occasionally to let out an anguished moan - if you were capable - now you just get on it with. Hangovers, you don't own me anymore.
For the night in question I wore this super 1960's mini, because sometimes it's nice to remember that you have legs. By the way, that's a dog on the chair next to me. In other news, this week we spent some time at my in-laws, which the boy loves because there's serious room to roam. I was also reminded of just how talented my partner is, because some of his furniture was on display and I fell in love with it all over again. If only we had room in our house for such beauties.
I gave you a little tour of Arthur's vintage-inspired nursery and the response was pretty amazing. Thank you so much for the lovely comments. Lot's of similar interiors themed articles to come, so keep your eyes peeled!
But perhaps my favourite thing to happen this week, was when my little boy and his painter dad did their first painting together, and we put it up on the fridge. And it made me think about how grateful I am for all of the changes that have happened in my life over the past year ... and not just because I can now handle a hangover.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend!
