Recently my head has been full of ideas about redecorating, and I've found myself spending hours on Pinterest. I love it over there, but I'm also terrified of it, because it's impossible to just pop onto Pinterest for a moment. No, one hit of the search button, and suddenly you've lost hours.
But hey, don't let that put you off. In fact, I'm actively encouraging you to check out my Pinterest. It's a Bank Holiday and it's raining - how the heck else are you going to wile away the day if not for the internet?
Now I use Pinterest for a couple of things:
1. Inspiration. A while ago I shared with you a little feature on the babes nursery. Well just because the room is finished doesn't mean I've stopped looking for tips and ideas, and in fact I've got an entire board dedicated to just that. Vintage fabrics and wallpapers are also an excellent and easy (although not always cheap) way to add colour and focal points to a space, so make sure to check out my obsessively maintained boards for inspiration.
2. Wardrobe ideas. Ok, ok, I guess this counts as an 'inspirational' board too, but I'm the one writing this post so I'm in charge, mmkay? I like vintage clothes. I might have mentioned that before, but just in case you haven't been paying attention (have you? have you???) then it's good I've finally put it out there. Pinterest is an ideal place to pick up styling ideas and take a sneaky pic at how other people are wearing the sort of clothes I love. That's not supposed to sound in anyway creepy.
4. The all important 'if money was no object' boards of lust. I have definitely devoted hours to pouring over that which is just out of reach, and often quite a long way out of reach. At the moment I have limited this to my Interiors board. I cannot live like that, and in a way I'm just torturing myself, but it sure is fun to take a peek inside the homes of those who can. Also, this kitchen - hello.
